After three very successful years at St. Andrew’s (Barrington, Rhode Island), Mike Culpo has decided to accept a scholarship offer from Long Island University. “Michael is very happy and excited about his decision,” said St. Andrew’s Head Coach Mike Hart. “He’s one of the best scoring point guard’s we’ve had at St. Andrew’s. Allan Chaney has been named the 2007-08 Gatorade Boys Basketball Player of the Year in the state of Connecticut. Award winners are not only selected for their accomplishments on the court, but also for their academic achievement and exceptional character. Nadir Tharpe had a tremendous sophomore season as he averaged 26 points per game for St. Peter Marin High School in Worcester (MA).
